Mental Health through Movies!

I love using film as a tool to help students think more deeply about themselves and others. We don't need a worksheet to be able to learn lessons from movies, but sometimes guided questioning is helpful. It allows students to stay focused and encourages them to reflect thoughtfully in order to develop insight.

The movie The Ant Bully is older (2006), but its themes are as salient as ever! The movie is of course about bullying, but it also explores the related topics of empathy, difference, and coalition building. The worksheet hones in on those related topics to help students understand all of the complex feelings and actions that can lead to bullying behaviors, as well as empowering behaviors.

This worksheet is most appropriate for kids and young teens. The movie is available to stream on Amazon Prime...watch it as a class together or have the kids complete this worksheet while they watch it on their own at home.

Click this link to download the worksheet. Let me know in the comments if there is a movie you'd like a worksheet on and I'll try to fit it in soon!
